Effective Date: March 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Pawdex, including its core contributors, affiliates, and operators, collects, uses, and handles information when you use the Pawdex website, decentralized application, and related front-end interfaces. This Policy applies only to the Interface and our off-chain systems. It does not apply to the Pawdex protocol, tokenpad contracts, routing logic, or the Oasis Network, which operate as decentralized and immutable software systems. By using the Interface, you acknowledge that you understand the data practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Pawdex does not require sensitive personally identifiable information to use the Interface. We do not collect or store:
  • Real names, physical addresses, or email addresses.
  • Government-issued identification, such as passports or driver’s licenses.
  • Financial account details, credit card numbers, or bank information.
  • Demographic information such as age, gender, or nationality.
We do not run KYC or AML onboarding for the Interface.

2. Information Collected via the Interface

While we avoid collecting sensitive personal data, the Interface may process certain technical and profile information to function properly.

A. Pseudonymous User Profiles

When you connect to the Interface, a profile may be created automatically. We store the username you choose and map it to your connected wallet address in our off-chain database. This username is pseudonymous and is used for display and product features such as creator attribution, leaderboards, and interface personalization. It is not linked to your real-world identity unless you choose a username that reveals it.

B. Public Blockchain Data

When you use your wallet and submit a transaction, your wallet address, transaction hash, token balances, and interaction history are recorded on the Oasis Network. Blockchains are public by design. We do not control the base layer and cannot change, delete, or hide on-chain transaction history.

C. Oasis Sapphire Confidentiality Features

Pawdex is deployed on the Oasis Sapphire network, which uses a confidential Ethereum Virtual Machine. Some base-layer activity, such as gas payments and wallet addresses, may still be visible, while certain smart contract states, routing details, and execution logic may be shielded. We use these features to help reduce MEV exposure and front-running risk.

D. Technical and Usage Data

To keep the Interface secure and reliable, our infrastructure may automatically log standard technical data, including:
  • Browser type, operating system, and screen resolution.
  • Approximate location data, such as country or region, used for load balancing and abuse prevention.
  • Non-identifiable usage metrics that help us improve the Interface.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use profile, technical, and usage data only for operational purposes. This includes:
  • Connecting your wallet to the Interface and displaying your username.
  • Protecting the Interface from spam, abuse, and denial-of-service attacks.
  • Debugging routing issues, improving performance, and maintaining reliability.
Pawdex does not sell, rent, license, or share user data with advertisers, brokers, or marketing agencies.

4. Third-Party Infrastructure

The Interface depends on third-party and decentralized infrastructure to operate. This Policy does not cover the privacy practices of those external services. Wallet providers, such as browser wallets, operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Pawdex does not have access to your private keys or seed phrases. We may also rely on third-party RPC providers to query the Oasis Network and broadcast transactions. These providers may log IP addresses and request data according to their own policies.

5. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect off-chain data, including saved usernames and logs. We retain analytics and error logs only as long as needed for the purposes described above, after which they are deleted, purged, or anonymized. Because we do not store sensitive personal profiles, the overall risk associated with our off-chain data is limited.

6. User Rights and Controls

You remain in control of most privacy settings through your own wallet and Interface actions. You may:
  • Update your pseudonymous username through the Interface.
  • Disconnect your wallet at any time through your wallet provider.
  • Leave the Interface whenever you choose.
On-chain data cannot be deleted or modified, since blockchain records are immutable and outside our control.

7. Minors and Eligibility

The Interface is not intended for individuals below the age of majority in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect profile or technical data from minors. If you are under the applicable age of majority, you must not use the Interface.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our infrastructure, product design, or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page, and the Effective Date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the Interface after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
